The Stewardship Committee is an organ of collaboration of parishioners with the Parish Priest, in the administration of the temporal goods of the Parish carrying out its task as an advisory body in accordance to Church Law and on behalf of the Bishop.
The committee meets at least once a month and when required. Their commitment to Prayer, Ministry and Finance are important to the fruitfulness of our Stewardship in the parish, in order to:
- Manage temporal assets
- Extraordinary Administration
- Parish finances
- Business management
The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to help the parishioners of St Joseph’s Maronite Catholic Church, Croydon, to better understand and more fully embrace the importance of Stewardship in their own personal lives and in the life of the Parish community as a whole.
It does this by promoting & communicating the importance of three vital elements of healthy stewardship, Prayer, Ministry and Finance, in the lives of individual parishioners and their greater faith communities.
The blessing of embracing stewardship as a way of life begins by acknowledging the personal need within each of us to return to God a thankful portion of our time in the form of prayer, our talents in the form of ministry to others, and the treasure He has entrusted to our care in support of the Church and her many worthy ministry programs.
The commitments of Prayer, Ministry and Finance are so important to the long-term success of our ongoing parish Stewardship.
